Post 514, along with its Ladies Auxiliary, was chartered in 1925 and has been in continuous operation ever since. As a result, the Post is honored each year by being the lead Color Guard unit in the annual Maple Plain Days parade. National Oratorical Contest – Instills a better knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution • Placed gravemarker (200)flags at Lewis Cemetery each Memorial Day in Independence, MN and furnish flags to museums. • Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation • May: Poppy Drive • November : Veterans Day at Nursing Home and at Legion Memorial :Annual Flag Retirement Ritual.....
