Capt. Charles A. Learned, 125th. Infantry Regiment, 32 Division. KIA 5 August 1918. Burried Aisne-Marne American Cemetery. Awarded the Croix de Guerre (France), and the Silver Star. The Citation from the French Goverment read: "During the advance of July 31 to August 5, 1918, from Courmont to the Vesle, he showed the greatest courage, bravery and the best quallities of a commander. He exposed himself without regard for personnal safety and kept his command together until he was killed.

He was President, Chairman and CEO of Guardian Industries, one of the world's largest manufacturers of architectural and automotive glass. He was also owner of several North American professional sports teams and a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
