Post 24 has always had an active Color Guard. They led the community July 4 Parade for more than 40 years. The Post provided many members that served as County, District and Department officers. Champaign is a very Flag aware community. They rely on Post 24 for Flag information. For more than 8 years Post 24 has awarded Certificates each month to businesses in Champaign for the proper display of the American Flag. The program has been copied by other Posts in Illinois.
