Post Namesake

Hulsey- Sumner Post 98 was named after A. Dewey Hulsey and Roy M. Sumner Jr.

Private Admiral Dewey Hulsey was the Son of I.B. and Etta Roxie Hulsey and he served in the US Army in Company F; 26th Infantry; 1st Division during WW I. He was killed on 27 May 1918 in France at the age of 19. He is buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetary in Rebecca GA.

Roy M. Sumner Jr was serving his country during World War II when he gave his all in the line of duty. He had enlisted in the US Army and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery in combat.
