In the chronicles of 1993, legion members and ladies of the Auxiiary Post 136 conducted a successful Poppy Drive. Sgt at Arms, Stan Staack mans his post at the St James City Post Office. The tradiction continues today.

The American Legion and the VFW came together at Pine Island Elementary School in a ceremony of honor for all of our veterans by showing colors of the flag and a firearm salute.
