What Makes this Post Unique

A war time veterans organization, established in 1919 by World War I veterans. Our mission is to assist veterans past and present, their families and serve the community.

Whittier Post was chartered in 1919, we were the 51st post in the state of California, we been in Whittiet since 1919, we have a President of the United States as a member Richard M. Nixon, the 37th President of the United States.

Since the 1987 Whittier earthquake the post has met at the Whittier Senior Center, located at Walnut Avenue and Painter Avenue in Whittier.

We are avtive in the community with our veterans programs at the Long Beach VA Medical Center, American Legion Baseball

High School Oratorical Contest, Boys State, and our Americanism programs.
