Amador Post 108 back in the early years consisted of volunteer members who operated an ambulance service. Those volunteers were Al Davies, Lute C. Bourne, Louis Malatesta, Charles Raggio, Antone Spinetti, Clyde Getchell, Alexander Gibson, Howard Dayton, Alfred Malatesta (pictured in attached photo)

What Makes this Post Unique
Amador Post 108 American Legion Ambulance Service has provided ambulance service in the foothill communities of Amador, Calaveras, and Alpine counties since 1929. Today, the company is a full service "9-1-1" provider with critical care transport. They maintain a fleet of 20 ambulances. The President/CEO of the ambulance service, Alan Lennox, has been involved in ambulance service for more than 30 years.
