The 2016 Wreaths Across America event took place at First Presbyterian Church and Greenwood Cemetery on December 17, 2016. The program portion took place at 9:00 AM/0900 Pacific time at the church. The time was to coincide with the same program being performed at 12:00 PM Noon/1200 at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, DC. The Master of Ceremonies for the 2016 event was Stevens Chute Post 4 Finance Officer and Judge Advocate Dennis "Denny" Drury. Stevens Chute Post 4 member Jim Lee performed the National Anthem. Stevens Chute Post 4 Chaplain Joe Gallagher gave the Invocation. A British Army sword salute was given by David Eddleston and David Brock. Additionally, David Brock was the Piper at the ceremony. The program was performed by American Legion and Auxiliary Stevens Chute Post and Unit 4, Boys Scout Troop 25, Bend Band of Brothers, Niswonger-Reynold Funeral Home, and community members. Special thank you to Oregon State Senator Tim Knopp and Oregon State Representative Gene Whisnant for providing the opening and closing remarks during the program. Following the program, over 200 wreaths were spread along Greenwood Cemetery's main road.
