On May 27, 2017, Stevens-Chute Post 4 invited its 2016 Oregon Boys State citizen Eugene Martin to speak at its general membership meeting. Eugene, a high school senior at Mountain View spoke about his experiences at Willamette University. After he concluded his speech, he was presented his Boys State award by Stevens-Chute Post 4 Commander William Chan.
