CWO-3 (Ret) Franklin D. Johnston of Eleanor, West Virginia stands with fellow Legionnaires getting ready for a Memorial Service on a grassy knoll in Winfield, WV. Franklin Johnston served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Sea Leopard during the Cuban Missle Crisis. He later served his country in the U. S. Army 82nd Airborne Division. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, earning two Bronze Stars. CWO-3 Franklin D. Johnston passed away on 11 Jan 2014 following an extended illness.
