California Legion member helps fellow veterans with equine therapy
Pacific Palisades, Calif., American Legion Post 283 member André Andrews, a third generation rancher and Navy veteran, was inspired by his love of horses and a desire to serve his fellow veterans. With help from his post and other area Legion members, Andrews started Warriors Road Equine Therapy center outside of Los Angeles, where veterans can learn about horses, from feeding and grooming to tacking, and, when ready, riding.
