Alonzo Drake, Jr. Post No 64 was organized in September, 1919 and renamed at the end of WWII to Drake-Sorbel Post No 64.In the early days the post was most active in assisting veterans in the preparation of their claims for rehabilitation, vocational training, hospitalization, back pay and compensation. Later during World War II, the Post assisted in the war efforts through fund raising for the USO, Navy Relief Fund, and the USS South Dakota..
