On March 23, 2017, Stevens-Chute Post and Unit 4 family members celebrated the American Legion's Birthday. The celebration of the formation of the largest Veterans service organization formed March 17-19, 1919 during the general monthly meeting. As an added bonus, the Post and Unit had Department of Ohio Commander Ron Chapman as a guest for the celebration and meeting. Mr. Chapman came into town for National Commander Charles "Charlie" Schmidt's Homecoming March 24-27, 2017 in Bend, Sisters, and Redmond Oregon.
