On January 28, 1963 a fire destroyed the original Post Home located behind what is now Brick Block Auto Parts. On Saturday, Oct. 10, the Millerton Peace Memorial Dedication was held in Millerton. The monument is really beautiful to see.. It is dedicated in honor and in memory of the valiant men and women of the Town of Northeast who served in our nation's conflicts. Relocation of Original Veterans Monument

Relocation of Original Veterans Monument

May 10, 2008

Following the closing of the Millerton Elementary School, members of the Post became concerned about the well being of the original Veterans Monument erected at the school in the 1930's by the Post. Earlier in 2007 the Post got permission from the Webutuck School District School Board to relocate the monument from the School Grounds to the Post Home.
