The 99th American Legion National Convention Parade was held in Reno, Nevada in August 2017. Legionnaire Marvin Harper carried the Dick Munkres Post 287 Colors during the National Convention Parade. The Dick Munkres Post 287 Colors have been at every National Convention Parade since the Post was chartered in 1920. This accomplishment is only matched by Rantoul Post 287 of the Department of Illinois. Marvin Harper is a dual member as a Legionnaire of O'Howell-Strader Post 102 in Barnard, Missouri and a Sons of the American Legion Dick Munkres Squadron 287 of Savannah, Missouri. Legionnaire Marvin Harper is also a Past Department of Missouri Commander and a Past 4th District Commander. The following pictures are of the Department of Missouri delegation in the National Convention Parade with Marvin Harper carrying the Post 287 Colors. Thank you Marvin!
