Visitors who will assist in the opening Aug. 10, of the Franklin Park American Legion Post 974's annual carnival are the Mel Tierney drum and bugle corps of Park Ridge. The parade is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., with local patriotic, civic, and community organizations taking part.
