Highgrounds Veteran's Memorial in Neillsville, Wisconsin that pays tribute to the dead, and honors the survivors, their services and their sacrifices. It is on one half million acres in Wisconsin woodland and glacial moraine with memorials for all service and wars. Each year Post #287 visits the park with friends and family. You can listen to portable ear phones that explains what each monument means, the wars that were fought and the importance of each memorial era to the United States. Each veteran can go to the memorial that is connected to the war they were in to meditate, remember fallen friends, to find inner peace. A plak was purchased by Post #287 for the memorial walk. Before the Post and guest go home, we all stop at a restaurant and have a great time talking and laughing about what we did that day.
