David F. Yuenger was elected State Vice Commander of the American Legion at the 63rd annual convention of the Wisconsin American Legion at Eau Claire last weekend.

Yuenger announced that he was a candidate for the title last January and has received wide support from his district. Yuenger belongs to Juneau Post 15 in the Legion's second district.

A Vietnam Era veteran, Yuenger served in the US Air Force from august 1961 through February 1965. He joined The American Legion eleven years ago and has been an active member since that time. He has been Post Commander, Vice Commander and Service Officer; he served his County as Commander and his District as Commander and Vice Commander.

Dave has worked on various state committees, presently serving on the State Membership Committee. He has attended the last eight State Conventions.

Yuenger has attended the National Membership Workshop at the National Headquarters in Indianapolis and has completed the National American Legion Extension Institute Leadership Course. He has attended the last four National Conventions, and presently has a National Appointment to the Americanism Council.
