Juneau, the county seat of Dodge County, boasts of having put across one of the most spectacular drives for membership in the history of this community, winning the state trophy for the largest increased membership among Badger posts.

Juneau's membership during the past nine years has been around the thirty mark. Juneau post officers made an inventory of all servicemen who served in the World War and instigated a program which resulted in a total membership on one hundred thirty-four on December 30. Since that time, eight more members have been added which brought the grad total to one hundred forty-two members. The objectives in the drive are one hundred sixty-one members by February 27th. This time was selected because the Juneau post wishes to present to the State Commander, Frank J. Schneller, this record of membership as a birthday token of appreciation on the fiftieth anniversary of the state commander.

The campaign to strengthen the American Legion organization was general throughout the Wisconsin department and was participated in by most live wire posts.

WIN OTHER TROPHIES

The state trophy was in the form of a beautiful bell and gavel with the American Legion emblem and the engraved compliments of the State Commander Frank J. Schneller.

Another trophy which the Juneau post is proud of is the certificate of meritorious service awarded to this post for having gone over the top in membership.

The third trophy is a framed picture of a German shell bursting a short distance from the American line of advance. This picture was taken by the state commander while commanding the advance of the American troops. This award was granted to the Juneau post for having a one hundred paid up membership by December 1st. The slogan of the post is "The biggest little active post in Wisconsin."

The winning of awards has brought letter of congratulations from various posts and officials throughout the state.
