On a cold January morning in 2007, members of Post # 187 traveled to Confidence Elementary School in Putnam Country for a History of the Flag Presentation. Over 325 students and teachers were there for the event. A week later, the Post received letters from the students decribing what they had learned from the Legionnaires about the history of the U.S. Flag. It was very rewarding to know that a little rural school on a ridge in West Virgina is going to provide some very positive West Virginians for the future of our country.
