On this date, a gathering of Veterans provided military honors for those who have not received their honors at Tahoma National Cemetery. This program is a special Saturday program. Members of the Peninsula Veterans Color and Honor Guard (PVCHG) are made up members from Legion Post 236 Gig Harbor, Post 109 Silverdale, VFW Post 1854 Gig Harbor and several other VFW Post. Post 236 was invited to participate in a Veterans Appreciation Event at one of the local retirement homes. Several members of the Post were present and presented cards and small folded flags to all Veterans.
