American Legion Post 83 participates in the 2nd Annual MVRS Chili Cook-Off
Come taste Chili’s from seven different organizations. Judges Choice and People’s Choice awards and an AED will be presented to one of the Organizations. The Mathews Rotary will be selling beer, wine and sodas. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite Chili!
Tickets are almost sold out for the 2nd Annual Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, January 31st, 2015 from 4:30 until 7PM. Over 500 tickets have already sold. Only $15 each and available from MVRS, and six civic organizations, Visitor's Center and Moughon’s Hardware. ALL PROCEEDS GO BACK TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS AND MVRS. This will again be held at the Piankatank Ruritan Club Building on Super Bowl eve. Quarts to go are available at 6 p.m. Post 83 has 10 tickets left. If you need tickets call the post at 725-7422.
