The American Legion Shiloh Post 28 has volunteered to conduct the “Wreaths Across America” ceremony this year at the Tennessee Street Park on Saturday, Dec. 13, starting at 11 am. Seven ceremonial wreaths will be placed to “remember those who served, honor their sacrifices, and teach younger generations about the high cost of freedoms.” Specially designated wreaths ‘Wreaths across America’ to honor veterans for the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and POW/MIA will be placed during a ceremony that will be coordinated simultaneously at..

Blake Locke, son of Lisa Locke, graduates from Hardin County High School on May 22 has received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. While many other college bound kids are working and on vacation Blake will attend Basic Cadet Training on 25 June. This is a well-deserved honor for this young man. Blake set his mind as a young boy that he was going to become a pilot in the Air Force..

On 11 July 2019 Charles Hovey and Charlie Huddleson went to the Planning Meeting of the Hardin County Commissioners. Here they requestd that the Commissioners proclaim 24 August 2019 as Shiloh post 28 Centennial Day during the bicentennial year of Hardin County. Charlie Huddleson tole them about what the Post is doing in Hardin County. Supporting Boys State each year with at least four boys attending each year. Working with the VFW to give Veteans..
