Our Post 8 cabin was leased to the city for use as a USO club for the Pierre Air Base. This lease was to remain in effect until the end of the hostilities (WWII). The lease charge to the city was to have been $150 per month, but only $100 had been authorized. The Post rebated $50 per month back to the city.A stipulation in the lease stated that all money derived was to be used to repay expenses of building the cabin.
