The Post performed a flag burning ceremony on September 19, 2016, before the monthly meeting. It was performed in front of the Legion Hall on Main street. Newspapers were notified of the event and people were asked to bring their worn out flags for retiring. Forty Four flags were retired. To The Colors was played prior to the burning and Retreat and the National Anthem were played after the burning.
