Private Edward Wheeler born July 22 1897 in Union County, South Dakota. Died October 26, 1917 Passchendaele West Flanders (West-Vlaanderen), Belgium. He was the son of Charles “Ed” Wheeler and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Ashmore Wheeler. He was raised by his aunt Laura Wheeler in Hawarden, Iowa and Philip, SD. Army Regiment: Canadian Infantry, 47th Battalion. Died at the age of 21. Buried at Menin Gate (Ypres) Memoiral.
