Named for the village in where it was chartered

Post 109 links the Veteran community with the community at large through a wide variety of activities, Patriotic, Memorial and Civic. Our most important activity is the Honor Guard we provide for local veterans who have passed. We also organize and host our community Memorial Day service, provide Color Guards for community parades, teach local 2nd graders the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance, participate in the village Halloween in the Park activities that create a safe environment for youth to participate in an evening of fun, raise the Flag at local Football games and honor our local veterans with an annual chilly cook off on Veterans Day.
