PVT Leonard Conley, Company C, 664th Brigade, 128th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division. PVT Conley was killed in action during an attack on the Kriemhilde Stellung portion of the German Hindenburg Line, near Romagne, France. He was wounded in action on August 1, 1918 during the Aisne-Marne Campaign (Château-Thierry). He returned to duty on September 20th, and was killed in action during an attack on the Kriemhilde Stellung portion of the German Hindenburg Line, near Romagne, France on October 17, 1918 during the Meuse-Argonne Campaign. PVT Conley was returned to the United States in 1921,and buried in the Conley family lot in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, NE on October 16, 1921. He is buried in Section 24 (Legion Circle), Lot 178, Space 5.
