Carl Mogensen Post 119 Chartered

Aug 1, 1920

Only 17 months after the founding of the American Legion, post 119 received its Charter.  The Post was named in memory of Carl Mogensen, the first Howard County soldier to lose his life in World War I.  Early Post meetings were held in the G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) room of the Howard County Courthouse in Saint Paul.
