On May 30, 1921, almost three years after he was killed in action in World War I, the funeral services for United States Army Private Rolla Dicks were held at City Park in Burlington Junction, Missouri.

Members of Post 315 constructed an Army-type caisson which was pulled by a team of black horses.

The Honor Guard and pallbearers were all members of Rolla Dicks Post 315.

An estimated 600 people attended the services as Private Dicks was laid to rest with full military honors.
