Did some research on a couple of Cartridge Casings that the post owns. No one seems to know where they came from and there was a lot of speculation as to what kind of gun they were used in. We were able to give the $25 we have raised for Operation Comfort Warriors, by selling flags, to the State Adjutant. "The American Legion 17th District Department of Missouri is trying to raise funds to have a bridge dedicated to all Soldiers from Missouri who have paid the ultimate price. The 17th District held a dedication ceremony on August 31st to rename the HWY 65 bridge over Lake Springfield to the "Missouri Fallen Soldiers Memorial Bridge". Missouri State Senators Jay Wasson and Bob Dixon where in attendance as was MO Dept Adjutant Lowry Finley-Jackson. In all over 100 guest and visitors attended the ceremony held a the Springfield Missouri National Guard Armory followed by a drive over of the newly dedicated bridge.

After talking to VA (Mt Vernon), took Don (Vice Commander - Donald K. Bouling) to ER Cox South this AM. They have decided to keep him over-night, and do EKG, stress test, etc tomorrow morning. Also had Richard Brouillette bring his Korea / Vietnam Display back this year along with a representative from the Air & Space Museum in Springfield.
