After many years of neglect, a select few American Legion Members of Ash Grove, MO, regained control of the Paul S. Killingsworth American Legion Post #307 building.
These are just a few of the photos we took on the day we got the keys.
Something to remember......... The current building that houses Post #307 was once part of Camp Crowder near Neosho, MO. The original idea for a building was to purchase a Quonset style hut from the camp. However, the only Quonset huts were buried under several feet of soil and the Post would have been responsible for removing the dirt and returning the area to its original condition. Instead the Post bought a 37' x 99' Classroom, building number 1133 and moved it to Ash Grove around 1949.
