National Commander Charles E. Schmidt arrived in Kansas City on 28 October to tour the Department of Missouri. On 29 October Commander Schmidt toured the 4th District of Missouri with the evening concluding in his childhood home of Criag, Missouri where he was honored with a "Homecoming Dinner." On day #3, American Legion Riders from Chapter 287 (Savannah) and Chapter 445 (Edgerton) escorted the Commander from Saint Joseph, Missouri to Camp Valor located in Kingsville, Missouri.
