Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony. The Parade is lead by the Chief of Police in Savannah. Then Post 287 Honor Guard marches first, followed by the WWII Jeep with the guest speaker, fellow legionnaires, veterans, and Legion Riders. The Savannah High School provides a drum corp. Troop 60 Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts also traditionally participate. The Savannah High School band will already be in place at the cemetery for a musical medley and an echo taps during the ceremony.
