Post 287 conducts a Memorial Day Ceremony each year with a parade starting from downtown and ending at Flander's Field. The parade and ceremony includes the American Legion Family, Troop 60 Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts, Savannah High School Band, Savannah and Andrew County Police and Emergency personnel. This year's guest speaker was U.S. Army Major Dustin Longfellow from Leavenworth, Kansas.
