McDonald-Dugger-Duncan Post 11 Dedicates Memorial at St. Joseph Airport

May 12, 1923
American Legion McDonald-Dugger-Duncan Post 11 in Saint Joseph, Missouri, joined with the Saint Joseph Chamber of Commerce in getting the new municipal airport named in honor of Sergeant Guy Wallace Rosecrans, the only airman from Saint Joseph to die in World War I. As part of that effort, Post 11 dedicated a memorial to Sgt. Rosecrans at the airport. The memorial consists of a granite stone with a plaque. The memorial has been moved twice..

Bill Kenney of Post 11 Elected Commander of the Department of Missouri

Post 11 member William J. "Bill" Kenney was elected Commander of The American Legion Department of Missouri at the Department's 38th Annual Department Convention, held in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Commander Kenney is a Past Commander of Post 11 and was serving as Western Vice Commander for the Department at the time of his election.
