American Legion Post 594 and the Eagan Lioness Club partnered with the City of Eagan to erect and Tribute & Memorial Center to recognize our police, fire, and military service members. The Police Officer and Fire Fighter statues were dedicated on 10/14/2010. The Military statue was dedicated on 7/3/2001 during the Patriotic Day celebrated at the annual Eagan Funfest.

On 9/24/16, Ron Paul of Livingston Drive in Eagan was presented with two Certificates of Appreciation. One was for his respectful display of the U.S Flag and the second was for taking several hours each Patriotic Holiday fashioning a display of 400 miniature American Flags and signs he’s made in support of our active military. At the 1/17/17 post meeting, guest Soren Agard spoke about youth baseball and asked for $500.00 to support registration of a junior team (16 year-old players) into the American Legion program. After Soren finished the discussion, and answered any questions, he left the meeting. A motion was made and seconded to vote on his request and it passed unanimously. A $500.00 donation will be made to get the Eagan team into the Legion program.

Eagan Post 594 donated U.S Flags to the City of Eagan for service at the Community Center and Tribute Plaza. The flags were presented to Eagan Community Center Manager Marshall Grange. While we were there, the post also collected 24 unserviceable flags that had been dropped off in the newly installed collection box at the Community Center.

In July 2018 – The Eagan American Legion Post 594 Family was given a unique opportunity by the MN American Legion Department. At the 100th National Convention held this August in Minneapolis, the Department gave away 10,500, medal badges to the delegates.
